#2: First Night
Young Cindra and her newfound "bodyguard" meet the city's horrifying
boogeyman known as Black Will and just manage to escape thanks to
Cindra's bravery with a confiscated dagger. Later she and
Nixyalderthorppe, her young charge, must sneak back into her home and
face a tough decision.
Passage
#3: Freedom
After being grounded for a month for sneaking out of the castle, Cindra
is allowed to go into the city. With a knight named Sir
Greenfellow assigned to protect her, she visits Sir Jaron Dunlorden who
is training for a tournament. Bad blood is apparent between the
two knights. With tempers high, no one notices Nixy has been
snatched off the street...
